Stream her with roses and daisies, dear mother,
let all that she speak be all that that she hears.
For no higher, no higher let her forehead doth grow;
and so dote, dote my mother, my mother so dear
and let her run free with a conscience so clear

thanks for the memories even if they weren't so good

Fine. So I like FoB. I still don't like "Sugar we're going down".

I'm back!

And to start of my description of my JB trip w family...

Why is it that the first thing I see on Singapore land on my way back Rihanna and her UMBRELLA?!?! She just had to be dancing on a giant billboard-sized screen right next to the Singapore Immigration Checkpoint, in a black corset that hardly covers anything, singing about a household item.

Ok. Now that I've gotten that out-

The trip wasn't half bad, really. I still think its quite a spaz idea to drive over there to stay the night, but it was really comfortable in the suite my dad got for us at some resort. I just wish the places were closer together.

After rushing home from choir at onepm-ish, I realised that my brother and sis-in-law (sunsun) had already left for JB, and left my sister to drive me there (otherwise, we could have crammed comfortably in one car). But my sister was in no hurry, since dinner (which was the main reason for going there) was at 7.30pm, and it only takes about an hour or so to get there. Sooo, I dropped all my stuff, took a much needed shower, and went to sleep.

I slept until 5 (I was that tired. The heat in the hall during prac was horrible), and then we grabbed our day bags, cake, went to denise's to buy some wine, then went off on our way, chatting about random stuff the entire way there.

Fastforward to dinner. It was at a nice seafood restaraunt. We booked a room for the six of us (my dad, my dad's gf, my brother, sunsun, my sister and I), and was pleasantly surprised to find - gasp! - a karaoke machine! We spent the night nibbling on bits of crab, and singing karaoke until midnight (I am not kidding). My dad even started dancing once, and sang along when my siblings and I sang (or rather shouted) to Queen's We Will Rock You. And the photos and vids we took? Lets just say my dad is NOT camera shy.

Its my dad's 60th birthday (according to the chinese calendar, which apparently my dad insists upon), and the cake was wonderful and YUMMY. its a lovely fruit meringe, and I WANT IT FOR MY BIRTHDAY. Apparently its award winning, but that's not the main point. The main point, is we all could see WHY it was award winning. We all chipped in for a cabin-sized suitcase for him, which he seemed to be very pleased with. heheheh.

Go to suite, studied physics until 2, and slept in comfortable but scary room (our room had NO WINDOW). Woke up next day at 6, then tried to sleep over and over again until 7, when I finally decided to go out to study instead.

Left suite with brother and sunsun (the only ones awake), and went to eat breakfast. Met junior nicole (moose!), lo and behold, then went to explore the resort. Went back, and hung around a bit (dad and gf woke at 9, met them at breakfast. Sis woke at 10 thanks to my hp alarm, and missed breakfast). Went out to eat lunch, and then I followed my bro to Duty free shops and City Square shopping centre to SHOP (my sis went home, and dad and gf drove ahead to KL). The Duty Free shops had NOTHING, so by the time we got to City Square, I had a total of 45mins to shop, with a 300ringgit allowance.

I went a bit crazy in the last few minutes, cause by that time I only spent 30ringgit (about S$15), so I went nuts and started buying wierd stuff. Which... were quite nice in the end (though I'll hardly wear them.)

I bought:

Blue collared shirt that says "Don't let it go to your head"
Brown tank top
Grey halter
Black guy shirt with orange print and says "HIP HOP"
Black tie.

The guy shirt was random, as was the grey halter and the tie. The halter doesn't fit that well, on the account that my body is thick as a log and the tie turned out to be cool. But the guy shirt is random. I spent 84ringgit out of 300ringgit.

Then we rushed home, and thankfully beat the traffic. And it ends where I started -

- with the umbrella.

Hrrumph. I learnt somewhere in the middle of the trip that a third of our time will be spent on the road, so might as well sleep as I wait. Slept all the way after Umbrella.

I still don't like travelling.

he told me that I've done alright
